The cast of "Girls" spoofed "The Golden Girls," and it's EVERYTHING
If you can believe it, there are only two episodes of Girls left, and we’re not quite sure what we’re going to do with ourselves when the show is over. The show is just about to wrap up its sixth and final season, and it’s been a rollercoaster ride that’s dealt with some pretty intense and important topics.
Luckily for us, however, Lena Dunham and her co-producer Jenni Konner haven’t ruled out a potential movie of the series, which is certainly something that we’d love to see.
Well, it seems that Dunham and her Girls co-stars have given us a brief glimpse into the future for their characters on the hit HBO dramedy…50 years in the future that is.
Dropping by Jimmmy Kimmel Live!, the four main cast members — Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet — did their best spoof of the iconic ’80s and ’90s sitcom The Golden Girls, re-imagining Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia as Hannah, Jessa, Shoshanna, and Marnie.
The clip sees the four friends prepping for Marine’s 77th birthday party, and it’s completely hilarious. Dunham’s character, Hannah, gets naked (of course), Jessa is bitingly cruel, Shoshanna is naive and cute, while Marnie is still uptight and difficult.
What’s more, Jimmy Kimmel also makes a surprise appearance as Officer Sausage, a stripper hired by Marnie. Also, Andrew Rannells crops up, too. Rannells, who plays Hannah’s roommate Elijah, is the only member of the cast that hasn’t aged, something he puts down to oil of Olay and boxed wine.

Meanwhile, you can catch the final two episodes of Girls, Sundays on HBO.
