Boston just got totally transformed for the new 'Ghostbusters' movie
Ready for a tiny peek at movie magic? Cause we have some, courtesy of Ghostbusters! The film is currently shooting in Boston, which is awesome and exciting and we’re loving all the shots from set. But there’s just one tiny problem. The film itself is set in New York City. So what’s a major studio film to do? Bring NYC to Boston, obviously!
The crew has done just that, creating some Big Apple magic in Massachusetts. Boston residents have been sharing city’s new look via social media, giving us some behind-the-scenes peeks at how the film is coming together.
It involves street signs…
And, last but not least, some CGI magic to create New York’s subway system.
Seriously awesome, and it’s so cool to think that when the film comes out, it will be next to impossible to spot the slight differences between the film set and the city itself (okay, unless you’re a New Yorker, in which case I’m sure you’ll be able to provide an itemized list). Keep these pictures coming, Boston! We are loving the backstage access.
