We now know a little bit more as to why Han and Leia drifted apart before "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
Before the much anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens hit theaters, fans were excited to see where characters from the original trilogy were so many decades later. Now, we’re getting a peek at Han and Leia’s relationship in the years before we catch up with them in The Force Awakens.
Chuck Wendig’s upcoming novel in the Star Wars: Aftermath series, called “Empire’s End,” gives us a look into the life of Han and Leia around the time of the second Death Star being destroyed. Since we’ve got a lot of time to fill between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, getting a peek at what caused Han and Leia to grow apart between then and now is exciting! And also heartbreaking!
StarWars.com has released an excerpt from the upcoming book, which you can grab on February 21st, Han and Leia are just your typical married couple. Arguing about things like fruit and work. Han is just so adorable when he tries to take care of pregnant Leia by bringing her a bunch of jogan fruit. We just all ship them so hard!
Ultimately, it seems like Han is bored staying home all of the time, which surely contributes to the couple growing apart over time — leading to how we see them in The Force Awakens.
