"Harry Potter" fans took to King's Cross to celebrate the IRL epilogue date, because these fans are the best — always
If you can believe it, today is the day Albus Severus Potter and company board the Hogwarts Express in the epilogue to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!
That’s right, it’s finally #19yearslater.
To celebrate the end of our childhoods this momentous occasion, fans from all over the world made their way to King’s Cross station to “see the kids off.” Any show of unity from Harry Potter fans makes us smile, but this is an especially emotional day.
Just LOOKING at the pages of the book is enough to make us cry a little (a LOT), TBH.
And of course, it’s not just fans — even the cast and crew of The Cursed Child is celebrating!
LOOK AT ALL OF THESE PEOPLE. HARRY WOULD BE SO PROUD.
We need a Time-Turner to get us to King’s Cross at 11 AM this morning!
Obviously, J.K. Rowling is around to support us through this very emotional day…WITH MORE TWEETS THAT MAKE US WANT TO CRY.
It’s so wild to think about how long Harry, Hermione, and Ron have been in our lives. For so many of us, the time between Harry starting at Hogwarts and his children starting spans nearly our entire lives. And thinking about that wizarding world coming to a close sort of feels like losing a friend.
Despite our mild heartache at this thought, we can defer to the wisdom of our fav Hogwarts Headmaster.
Good luck to Albus and company on their first day at Hogwarts. We can only hope to read more about their adventures.
