The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunited AGAIN this weekend and we somehow totally missed it
This was basically a weekend of non-stop sisterhood and encouragement, so it should come as no huge surprise that the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants ladies — aka Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and America Ferrera, as if you didn’t know — represented their never-ending bond at the Women’s Marches in Washington and New York City on Saturday, January 21st.
(Alexis Bledel didn’t make it, and we’re hoping it’s because she was representing womenfolk in other ways … like, y’know, by starring in the Hulu adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s patriarchal dystopia Handmaid’s Tale.)
Tamblyn, bless her, managed to run into both Lively and Ferrera because she somehow made it to both the D.C. and the New York City marches.
Down in D.C. Ferrera spoke (amazingly, btw) about being a “first-generation American born to Honduran immigrants,” saying,
After Ferrera’s speech, Tamblyn — who is currently very pregnant with her first child with husband David Cross, a daughter — put on her superhero cape and flew to New York, where she used her other superpower (finding a friend in a crowd of hundreds of thousands with virtually no cell phone service) and located Lively.
Damn, ladies. Friendship goals are strong right now.
Lively, of course, is now a mother to two daughters, with Bledel giving birth to a son quietly last year and Tamblyn having a little girl on the way. We’re sure all of their little tykes, once they grow up and start sharing their magic pants, will be proud as hell of their mothers’ actions this weekend.
