This news is almost as exciting as when we showed up for science class in middle school and found out it was video day!

Indie Wire reports our favorite science teacher, the one who got us interested in gravity and how lungs work, is getting another TV show and we can’t contain our excitement!

The “Science Guy” will be hosting his new Netflix show “Bill Nye Saves the World,” — a talk show set to launch in Spring 2017.

Every episode is set to teach us something new in a way only Nye could. The official synopsis reads:

“Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.”

Since Nye’s popular PBS show ended in 1998, he’s been a very vocal about polarizing subjects like climate change and religion and his new show is going to tackle those head on.

“Since the start of the Science Guy show, I’ve been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science,” Nye said in a statement.

“Today, I’m excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we’ll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change. With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.”

We’re secretly hoping for more pop song remixes set to educational tidbits because that’s what got us through school, but either way – this is so exciting because SCIENCE RULES!

The new show is set to stream on Netflix in Spring 2017!
