Bill Murray's "The Bare Necessities" duet from "The Jungle Book" is so adorable
We’re so excited for the live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book, starring Bill Murray as Baloo the bear and 12-year-old newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli. But there are some things about the Disney classic that we’ll never forget. Lucky for us, Bill and Neel adorably sang “The Bare Necessities” together on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night — and it’s unbelievably cute.
When Jimmy Kimmel asked if the song appeared in the movie, Bill and Neel exchanged mysterious looks. “Yeah…” Neel answered, unsure. “Do you remember the song? Do you know it by heart?” Jimmy asked. The two actors seemed hesitant, not really cooperating with Jimmy’s hinting that they should sing it for the audience.
However, Jimmy wasn’t deterred. He handed them microphones and they took the stage, pausing for a moment before jumping a definitely rehearsed rendition of the Disney classic.
The two fluctuated between harmonies, and even paused for some dialogue in the middle. But the best part might be the dancing bears in costumes that appeared onstage to dance.
Well, that was adorable. We’re pretty psyched to see The Jungle Book when it its theaters April 15!
