Bill Murray Snuck in a Tribute at the Oscars to His ‘Ghostbusters' Brother Harold Ramis

The rumor is Bill Murray and his close friend and collaborator Harold Ramis had a fight on the set of Groundhog Day in 1993 and never really spoke after that. When friends and family heard that Harold Ramis was in serious condition, Bill flew to Chicago and visited his friend shortly before he died and ended the riff. Monday he issued the statement:

“Harold Ramis and I together did the ‘National Lampoon Show’ off Broadway, ‘Meatballs,’ ‘Stripes,’ ‘Caddyshack,’ ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Groundhog Day.’ He earned his keep on this planet. God bless him.”

He also sneaked in these sweet words during the Oscars live broadcast Sunday night:
