Bill Murray holds a very special place in our collective hearts. Hollywood’s resident weirdo has been a part of some of our favorite films and franchises of all time, and never fails to delight us with his delightfully odd sense of humor. The Internet loves him so much, in fact, that he even has his very own (and very popular) “Murray Christmas” meme — and never one to miss out, he’s finally getting in on the fun.

Earlier this year, Murray announced that he would be teaming up with Sofia Coppola and Netflix for a holiday special called A Very Murray Christmas. We immediately knew the film would be magic (I mean, have you seen Lost in Translation?!), and now, Netflix has finally released the first trailer.

In the 30-second spot, we get a preview of Murray as he scrambles to save a live holiday broadcast after a blizzard forces them to shut down production. (Yes, it’s a little meta.) The majority of the trailer showcases its ridiculously amazing cast, all snowed in at New York City’s famous Carlyle Hotel — and it looks just as amazing as you’d expect.

According to a press release from Netflix earlier this year, the special is an “homage to the classic variety show,” and will feature reimagined holiday tunes and a whole bunch of other fun stuff. Coppola explained to People earlier this month that the whole project “started from wanting to see Bill sing,” along with their “fondness for those old Christmas specials that were on TV in the ’70s and ’80s.”

“We’re going to do it like a little movie,” Murray told Variety. “It won’t have a format, but it’s going to have music. It will have texture. It will have threads through it that are writing. There will be prose. It will have a patina style and wit to it. It will be nice.”

Every year, we find ourselves drowning in holiday decor and music before Halloween has had a chance to shine — but when it comes to Bill Murray, we’ll embrace the holiday cheer whole-heartedly. The trailer features some of our absolute favorite humans of all time, including Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, George Clooney, Rashida Jones, Miley Cyrus, and more. There’s even a Jenny Lewis cameo — but blink and you’ll probably miss it.

From what we can tell, the special is going to be an absolute delight and filled to the brim with amazingness. Check out the trailer for yourself below, and A Very Murray Christmas when it comes to Netflix on December 4.
