This full trailer of Beyoncé's "Lemonade" is giving us even *more* questions
This weekend, the entire Internet — us included — was on the hunt to figure out just what “Lemonade” is after Beyoncé posted a teaser on Instagram. She’s oh so good at teasing us, after all!
It was just a few seconds long, featuring Bey in a fur coat and cornrows, resting her head on the hood of a car with building music and a voiceover of her saying, “What am I gonna do, love, what am I going to do?” The only other clues we were given were in the caption — April 23rd at 6PM on HBO. SO WHAT THE HECK IS LEMONADE.
Luckily, we didn’t have long to wait until Beyoncé posted this one-minute-long trailer. But — surprise! — it’s giving us more questions than it’s answering.
It’s hard not to be creeped out by the “Lemonade” trailer, with the eerie music and Slenderman-like electric noises, coupled with montages of — well, stuff like this:
Seriously, it appears as though the theme of “Lemonade” is “eerie montages”:
SO. MANY. QUESTIONS:
Honestly, if this *is* a scary movie, we can’t help but envision the moment Bey was like, “I’m gonna make a horror movie and it’s gonna be good, because everything I do rocks,” and filmmakers were like “yeah, can’t argue with that.”
Silly us to think that Beyoncé would actually give us answers beforehand — she always likes to keep us on her toes. Watch the full trailer below and be prepared to be nervously looking around your shoulder all day.
