Ponytail wielding pop star and general badass Ariana Grande has defended her comments regarding objectification made yesterday (December 28th).

The “Into You” singer had taken to Twitter to share an uncomfortable story about how she was objectified in front of her face while out for food with her partner, the rapper Mac Miller.

In her post, Ariana said that she was “not a piece of meat that a man gets to utilize for his pleasure” and that “I know very well that most women know the sensation of being spoken about in an uncomfortable way publicly or taken advantage of publicly by a man.”

However, many people said that Ariana Grande was being “hypercritical” because of the way that she dresses.

Ariana, on the other hand, was having none of this either. In fact, she said (and we 100% agree), “[e]xpressing sexuality in art is not an invitation for disrespect.”

In a string of tweets, the 23-year-old showcased what a badass feminist warrior she is.

See the tweets below.

Yass Ariana!

In fact, this isn’t the first time that Ariana Grande has fought back against over sexism. Last year, the singer shut down sexist interview questions, and she even raised awareness for the discrepancies and obvious sexism when it comes to magazine sections.

Essentially, Ariana Grande is full on feminist fighter and we love her for it.
