Ariana Grande just covered Whitney Houston and we've got all the goosebumps
We love it when our favorite artists re-interpret and cover some of our other favorite artists, which is why we’ve been totally OBSESSED with ABC’s Greatest Hits. The show sees people covering classic songs from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s’, and early ’00s, and it’s GREAT. We’ve already talked about how we loved Zendaya’s fab rendition of Mario’s “Let Me Love You,” and we’re also living for Fifth Harmony taking on the hits of Destiny’s Child.
Since the show started we’ve been waiting for someone to give Whitney Houston a go, and now our prayers have been answered.
Last night on the season finale of the show, Ariana Grande performed a medley of Houston’s iconic hits, “How Will I Know” and “Queen of the Night” and it’s breathtaking.
We have actual goosebumps.
Just look at what a flawless being she is.
Following the episode, Ariana shared this super cute selfie on Twitter, where she showed off her cute new bangs, and she looks like a precious angel.
The singer recently uploaded two #throwback tracks on to Soundcloud as a gift for fans. The two songs were demos from her first album, 2013’s Yours Truly.
Ariana will also star in NBC’s live re-make of Hairspray!, where she’s taking on the iconic role of Penny. Unfortunately for us Arianators, it doesn’t seem that she’s going to be able to show off her big vocal chops as it seems that Penny won’t have any big solos in the show.
Regardless, we’re still totally going to tune in on December 7 when Hairspary! airs to support Ariana and the rest of the cast. Also, we can always just listen to Ariana’s banging song of the summer, “Into You.”
