Ready for even MORE Marvel TV? Joining the ranks of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, Daredevil, and the slew of other previously ordered Marvel/Netflix ventures, now we’ve got a new one coming to primetime: A direct S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off, and it’s going to feature two of our favorite characters.

No, sadly, it’s not going to be a half-hour sitcom about FitzSimmons (though, that would be awesome). Instead, S.H.I.E.L.D. is giving another duo a spin-off, one featuring Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter. That’s right, Ms. Mockingbird’s getting her own show, and she’s letting her ex-husband, Lance, come along for the ride, too. A thousand YASSSSSS.

Now this show will be about… wait, we don’t actually know anything about that yet. Aside from the fact that it’ll feature Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood in their roles from S.H.I.E.L.D., everything else about this show can still be classified as an 0-8-4 (a TV show with an unknown origin). According to The Hollywood Reporter, the events from the last two episodes of Season 2 will directly tie into why Bobbi and Lance set out on their own.

I can’t help but find this incredibly convenient, considering the release of Age of Ultron is right around the corner. Last year, the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier directly tied into the events happening on S.H.I.E.L.D., and that was great. Might they be doing something like that again? Everything’s connected in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so that’s highly likely. If you’ve been keeping up with S.H.I.E.L.D. this season, you know that there’s actually a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. within S.H.I.E.L.D. that was formed after HYDRA infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. Little bit confusing? Just a little. But I’ve got full faith they’ll deliver us something epic and take all these intertwined story-lines to the next level.

S.H.I.E.L.D. starts wrapping up its Season 2 on May 5th, with the finale set to air May 12th, and Ultron opens on May 1st (like you’ve forgotten). Prepare to have your whole Marvel world rocked once again. But more importantly, there’s one more kickass lady hero coming to TV. We love you, Bobbi!!
