Renée Zellweger already knows what “Bridget Jones 4” should be about

Twelve years after Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason and fifteen years after Bridget Jones’s Diary, we are so excited to see Bridget Jones return with the new movie Bridget Jones’s Baby. And it looks like next time, we won’t have to wait so long for a sequel — Renée Zellweger says she already knows what the next Bridget Jones movie should be about.
In an interview with Time Out London, Zellweger spilled all her ideas for a sequel — and we’re totally on board.
Yeah, why not? It could be interesting to watch her improvising her way through motherhood. And quite hilarious, right? Zellweger said.
We totally agree that clumsy Bridget + newborn = complete hilarity and adorableness.
And Zellweger added that she’d love to see even more sequels!
I love her so much — the physical comedy, her vulnerability, her openness. I like the idea of revisiting a character that we all met so long ago and checking in with her at all different stages of her life, she said.
In her fourth movie, Bridget would be exhausted, Zellweger said:
She’d be tired! From what I’ve seen with my sister and my best friends, you know, all of them who’ve had the little babies. They are tired!
Zellweger’s co-star Sally Phillips (aka Bridget’s bestie Shazza) also had an idea:
“Bridget Jones’s Menopause. I’m looking forward to that film in another 12 years.
Whatever the next Bridget Jones movie is about, we know we’ll be watching!
