Regina King’s Oscar win just proved this obscure theory about Legally Blonde 2
Queen Regina King took home the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2019 Oscars on February 24th for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk (yas!) and, right away, a very interesting theory about King and the cast of Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde emerged.
Basically, people on Twitter think that everyone in Legally Blonde 2 is on their way to winning an Academy Award, and they’re offering some pretty convincing proof.
First of all, yes, Regina King was in Legally Blonde 2—she played a congressional staffer named Grace Rossiter. Following in the footsteps of her cast mates Reese Witherspoon (who won Best Actress in 2006 for Walk the Line), Octavia Spencer (Best Supporting Actress winner for The Help in 2012), and Sally Field (she has won Best Actress twice—in 1985 for Places in the Heart and for Norma Rae in 1980), King becomes the fourth in the film to snag an Academy Award.

Who would have thought that two of the stars of Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde, would go on to become Oscar winners? #oscars #ReginaKing #reesewitherspoon

The 3 top-billed stars of Legally Blonde 2 have now all won Academy Awards. Someone needs to make a prestige-style trailer. #Oscars pic.twitter.com/1noQi4PvQy
