Reese Witherspoon’s meta tote bag is adorable and reminds us of a 2017 Elle Woods
We’ve all been team Reese Witherspoon ever since she won us over in the courtroom in Legally Blonde back in 2001. Since then the ageless star has never ceased to make us smile — which is why we’re not surprised by Reese’s adorable and very meta tote bag. The actress and star of HBO’s upcoming Big Little Lies (summed up as “the tale of three mothers of first graders, whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder.” Uh, thank you! We need our next thriller series!) and this year’s live-action Tinker Bell (perfect casting, if we may say so) marched around LA this week proudly displaying her fresh fashion accessory as she popped into a few shops.

We love a big bag! The mom of three tossed on some thick cateye sunnies and hit the town this week, looking like a living magazine ad for her new spirited tote bag.
Reese snuck inside a shop to pick out some pretty little potions in her travels. The bag, with its eye-catching gold hardware and sweet heart change purse attached, is from Reese’s own line, Draper James, and can be purchased online here.
Love this look? Throw on a cropped cargo jacket over a simple patterned tee and your favorite skinnies and you’re good to go! Extra points if you’re comfortable shopping all day in a pair of heeled boots; Reese proves that simple can be a statement if you pick timeless pieces that fit well and flatter your shape. A streamlined outfit of basic items will never go out of style.
Let’s do the math: if Elle Woods graduated after the standard three years of law school in 2004, and entered at the average age of students who’ve finished a four-year degree, that would mean the fictional Elle is currently 38 years old. We’d like to think 2017’s Elle would definitely still be sporting such cutesy items as this tote with a cheeky message built right in
