Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James is giving free dresses to teachers across the country

As we’re all staying home due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there are so many others to thank for keeping society functioning as normal as possible right now. One of those groups is teachers— many of whom have to teach students remotely for the first time, while often caring for their own children. To thank them for doing what many of us would deem impossible, Reese Witherspoon’s brand, Draper James, is giving away free dresses for teachers as a show of love during this difficult time.

The initiative is called Draper James ❤️ Teachers, and it will provide a free dress to teachers across the U.S.—while supplies last. This is sure to be popular. To sign up, teachers can fill out this Google Form with their name, contact info, and information about their school, including a photo of their school ID for vetting purposes.

The giveaway is open now through Sunday, April 5th, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Teachers will be contacted on April 7th with more information on how to order their dress.

“These past few weeks have shown me so much about humanity,” Witherspoon said in a statement provided to HelloGiggles. “I’m an eternal optimist, so I always look for the bright side of things. And I have been so encouraged by the ways people are really showing up for each other. Particularly the teachers. During quarantine, teachers are broadcasting lessons from their own homes and figuring out new remote-learning technology and platforms on the fly, all while continuing to educate and connect with our kids.”

“Advocating for the children of the world is no easy task, so I wanted to show teachers a little extra love right now.”

There is a lot going on right now, and there are a lot of ways to help. Teachers getting new dresses isn’t solving all our problems, but it’s undeniable that teachers deserve something nice for all they are doing for us. (They also deserve higher pay, and a large pour of their beverage of choice, and a million other things.) Plus, I mean, those Draper James dresses aren’t always cheap. Get ’em while you can, y’all.
