Reese Witherspoon has returned to rom-coms in the first trailer for “Home Again”
ICYMI, we’re ~huge~ Reese Witherspoon fans, and we’re so excited to hear about the new film she’s starring in. Yup, Reese Witherspoon has returned to rom-coms in Home Again, reported Deadline Hollywood. Now, the first trailer for the film is here. Our only question: Why do we have to wait until September 8th before we can see it?!
Home Again is the directorial debut of Nancy Meyers’ daughter, Hallie Meyers-Shyer, who also wrote the film. Of course, Nancy has written and directed soooo many of our favorite films, from The Holiday to It’s Complicated. Judging by the trailer, it looks like Hallie ~definitely~ inherited her mother’s filmmaking gene! But you can judge for yourself below!
So, it goes without saying that we can’t wait to see Witherspoon in Home Again!
The plot? In Home Again, Witherspoon’s character, Alice, is a newly separated mother, according to Glamour. She has two daughters and moves back “home” to Los Angeles. She also lets three aspiring filmmakers (Pico Alexander, Nat Wolff, and Jon Rudnitsky) crash in her guest house.
Is there romance? Definitely. Then Alice’s ex (Michael Sheen) comes back into the picture — while we sit on the edge of our seats waiting to see what happens next…!
