Squint and you can’t tell Reese Witherspoon and her daughter apart in these July Fourth snaps
How many times have we had someone tell us that our mom looks like our sister? The old compliment is sweet in theory, but very often just flattery at best. But sometimes, oh sometimes, we actually look like our moms. In fact, sometimes we actually look like sisters. Take for example Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava Phillippe. In a photo that Reese posted on Instagram the two *actually* look like sisters. In fact, if you squint, you can barely tell the two women apart.
Reese and Ava both look perfectly patriotic and chic in their matching red and whites.

In the photo, Reese wishes everyone a Happy Fourth as she and Ava throw the same smile to the camera. And while Reese is done up in red lipstick and a blue blouse, Ava wears a red and white bandana and matching red shirt. The women look almost exactly the same, coordinating perfectly while still having their own style.
Ava’s dad Ryan Phillippe doesn’t quite understand the fixation on Reese and Ava’s likeness. He told ET, “Who else are they going to look like, you know? I always find that such a weird thing, like, [Ava] looks exactly like her mother, who else is she going to look like? It’s an odd thing that people fixate on that.” While we understand that, we would just like to say that not everyone looks so candidly like their parent! And when they do, it’s still fun to see.
We can’t wait to see Reese and Ava coordinate looks in the future!
