Sorry, Christmas lovers: even if you have three mistletoe plants in your house and every single rendition of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on vinyl, Reese Witherspoon’s family Christmas pictures essentially prove that you’ve been bested. There’s a new Buddy the Elf in town, and she’s a 5-foot-1-inch blonde in stiletto pumps and some seriously dorky Christmas sweaters.
The Sing star opened up to People about her holiday traditions with husband Jim Toth and children Ava, Deacon, and Tennessee, and she essentially confirmed what we already knew from her Instagram: that she’s the gingerbread house-making, Advent calendar-purchasing, party-hosting queen of Christmas. And now that she has her lifestyle retail brand Draper James to promote, she’s kicked it up a notch when it comes to holiday cheer.
“I love Christmas caroling,” she told the mag. “I remember bundling up and walking around the neighborhood. It’s one of my favorite holiday memories from being a kid in Nashville.”
Witherspoon also noted that her kids have gotten in on the action, gushing that “Ava bakes tons of cookies, Tennessee likes to make waffles with me, and Deacon is such a good helper, he’ll help with anything.”
Sounds ideal…because based on Witherspoon’s personal photos, there is a lot to do. Like finish last-minute shopping while looking adorable, stylish, and oh-so-festive, for example.
