You can use red lipstick as under eye concealer and our minds are blown
Okay, we all have a great red lipstick in our beauty arsenal, right? It turns out that you actually use red lipstick as an under eye concealer, and our minds are literally still reeling.
Makeup artist and YouTuber Amy’s Makeup Box recently posted a video of herself using liquid lipstick as a color corrector, and the results are amazing.
We’re kind of baffled that something as bright as red lipstick can make dark circles disappear, but apparently, it works!

According to Stylecaster, it’s because red is opposite blue and green tones on the color spectrum. So effectively, they cancel each other out. So yup, your favorite red lipstick can coverup under eye circles, in a pinch.
But the British makeup artist decided to take the red lipstick hack one step further. Instead of a solid tube, she used liquid lipstick for more lasting coverage. It’s pretty incredible how the circles just disappear.
Amazing, right? Here’s a freeze-frame of the finished look, so you can bask in all its glory.
In case you want to try her technique at home, we found out what lipstick she’s using. It’s Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Cheerleader, $20. Try it next time you pull an all-nighter, or maybe party a little too hard.
Good luck, and say goodbye to those pesky dark circles!
