You will not believe what can be done with old McDonald’s wrappers
When you think of McDonald’s, you probably don’t think of high fashion. At least, if I’m ever at McDonald’s, I’m 100% wearing sweatpants and hoping you don’t see me. The restaurant is much more “McRib” than it is “McQueen,” but all that’s about to change. The brand debuted their first clothing line (specifically, dresses) at Funkshion Fashion Week in Florida, which took place in Miami Beach these past few days. Not only did the fast food chain create some awesome looks, they also made them entirely out of recycled McDonald’s wrappers. The result? Well, take a look for yourself.
Oddly beautiful, right? The collection is somehow making me both jealous and hungry. What I like best is the playful nature of it all. It just shows how amazing a little creativity can be, and how thinking outside of the box can lead to something super fun, eco-friendly, and, of course, delicious.
Seriously, where can we get our hands on these pieces? Something tells me we won’t be seeing them in stores any time soon, but luckily, with enough trips to McDonald’s, we’ll have all the materials necessary to create our own versions of the looks. That is, if we’re able to pull ourselves out of the food coma, because that’s a lot of fries.
