Rebel Wilson Wasn’t Impressed by Meghan Markle When They First Met
The actress dissed Meghan's cold welcome, while describing Harry as "lovely."
It’s safe to say Rebel Wilson’s daughter won’t be having a playdate with Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor anytime soon. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, the Pitch Perfect alum revealed she recently got the opportunity to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the latter of whom she was rather underwhelmed by.
Following a commercial break, host Andy Cohen prompted the actress to tell fans about taking her mom to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — a conversation that had originated off-camera between the pair.
Wilson said their mutual friend, a polo player, put her in touch with the couple. She and her mom spent time with Harry and Meghan while vacationing in Santa Barbara, near the Sussex family home. Harry, she revealed, was “actually lovely.”
“We went up to Santa Barbara and met Harry, could not have been nicer,” Wilson recalled. His other half not so much, she added.
“Meghan was not as cool. She wasn’t as naturally warm,” Wilson confessed.

This isn’t the first time the Suits star has been described as cold. A year before her wedding to Harry, her ex-best friend, Ninaki Priddy, told the Daily Mail that Meghan has a knack for being “very calculated” and “very strategic in the way she cultivates circles of friends.”
Although in Meghan’s defense, Wilson does think her mom’s forwardness could have contributed to the Duchess’s withdrawn demeanor. “My mom being Australian was asking her all these slightly rude questions like, ‘Where’s your kids?’ and I’m like, ‘Mom, don’t ask her that,’” she told Cohen.
Wilson jokingly added, “Maybe that’s why she was like, ‘Who are these annoying convicts from Australia?’”
Now fans want to know whose accompany Wilson enjoys more: Harry or his estranged brother, Prince William?
