How this “13 Reasons Why” star is actually connected to “The Bachelorette”

Well, well, well, it seems we have a case of superstar celeb cousins on our hands!

Anyone who’s already binge watched their way through 13 Reasons Why (*and if you haven’t, what are you doing reading this? GO WATCH NOW!*) is familiar with Tommy Dorfman, who plays the well-meaning poet, Ryan Shaver, on the show. While totally engrossed in the Netflix original, some of us went, hmmm, he kind of looks familiar. But the sleuths over at Refinery29 connected the dots, and figured out who the breakout star’s famous cousin really is.

And it is (drumroll please)…Andi Dorfman!

As in lawyer Andi! As in Nick Viall and Andi!

To point out the obvious, the two share a same last name. Duh. But some Instagram research confirms the connection, showing Andi and her cuz in a sweet selfie simply captioned: “Cousin.”

Clearly, there are some strong showbiz genes in this fam!

However, Andi’s taken a break from the spotlight since her Bachelorette days. She’s since moved to New York City, where her cousin Tommy also resides, and just rang in her 30th birthday this week.

For the minority of you who *haven’t* seen 13 Reasons Why yet (and we repeat, what are you doing reading this? Go watch it now!), we won’t spoil it for you. But. What we can say is that this heartwrenching tale has been met with so much enthusiasm, there are now rumors swirling that a second season may be in the works. Which means we may not have seen the last of Tommy on the show.

And who knows? Maybe he’ll even invite his cousin Andi to hang out with him next time he’s on set!
