What Really Happens When We Take a Selfie

Thanks to social media, it’s easy to believe that we live in a world where all snapshots are both spontaneous and perfectly-styled. But is Instagramming as “instant” as the name suggests, or is there truly no candidness to the art of the selfie? I can only speak for myself when I say that each selfie I post usually involves 100 test photos before I settle on a finished product. Am I the only one?
