An artist painted a road runner tunnel, and someone actually tried to drive through it

Listen, we all make mistakes. It’s a natural part of growing and learning. Some mistakes are just more entertaining than others.
Nobody knows that better than a poor Fiat driver who, according to a Reddit post by the user rburn, attempted to drive through a tunnel that was only painted on a wall. If this sounds familiar to you, that’s because its a fate fallen upon many times by a frustrated Wile E. Coyote from Looney Tunes as he continuously attempted to nab the his pesky, physics-defying roadrunner nemesis.
A street artist, who was obviously inspired by the famous coyote, painted a version of the tunnel (complete with mischievous roadrunner and all) onto a wall. And a poor driver, thinking it was a real tunnel, went head first into it.
Luckily, everyone was OK. And since this is real life, it’s good nobody got injured. From the looks of the picture, even the painted roadrunner went unharmed (though that’s nothing new for him). The only reason we enjoyed seeing Wile E. Coyote get hurt is because we all knew he was a total professional in his pursuits (not to mention an unwavering optimist). Oh, and also he was a cartoon. So he was fine.
And as much as it’d be easy to tell yourself you’d never fall for the same thing, you just never know. So next time you’re tired or lost or see a roadrunner beckoning you into a tunnel with a come-hither stare, maybe pause a moment and remember a major lesson Wile E. Coyote tried to teach us time and time again: Sometimes a tunnel is really just a good paint job.
