This real-life ‘Game of Thrones’ love story is our sun and stars
It sounds like Daenerys and Darrio found love in a Essos place. Or better yet, gotta rephrase that: Daenerys and Darrio’s body doubles have found love in a Essos place, and it’s making our Game of Thrones-loving hearts burst. Word on the street from Meereen is that Rosie Mac and Ignacio Blanco, who work as Daenerys and Daario’s body doubles, have really hit it off. So much so, that it appears as if the two are now dating.
Both of their Instagrams are filled with adorable shots of the two hanging out, calling each other “best friend” and “partners in crime.” Blanco recently spoke to The Daily Mail and explained that he and Mac met on set, and explained that, “Since then we’ve become very close. Things just kept escalating.”
Not escalating to the point where like, Mac flies away on a dragon, because that would be waaaay too real for art-imitating-life. But clearly the two have grown close, since a majority of their scenes are filmed together. And the two really do look like Emilia Clarke and Michiel Huisman, so during each episode it’s impossible to tell which one is which — the actor or the double. This is just too adorable for words. We’re already rooting for Dany and Daario to make it work (They HAVE to make it work, if Dany ever flies back on her dragon), and knowing that some real-life sparks have happened behind-the-scenes as well? This is the moon of our life now.
