Rashida Jones just gave Stephen Colbert an important lesson in feminism
Rashida Jones is great at so many things. Like, we could probably list 50 things she’s proven to be amazing at — acting, writing, producing, and friendship included. We already knew that she was also great at being a feminist, based on all the times she was great at being a feminist — but she just proved it once again.
Jones paid a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday night, and she taught him a very important lesson: how to be a feminist. Even though Colbert already identifies himself as a feminist, Jones shared her thoughts on what it means to identify as a modern-day feminist. He was eager to learn the ins and outs of feminism and how we can be an even bigger advocate for women everywhere.
When Colbert asked what he should be doing to remain an active feminist, Jones said, “Well, you just have to stay educated and stay sensitive … And I think you have to know what we [women] go through.”
Jones then pulled a role reversal by asking Colbert the typical questions she gets asked constantly as a woman in Hollywood. Like, “Who are you wearing?”, “What’s your beauty regimen?” and “With three kids at home, how do you do it all?” His reply, “Oh, easy. I don’t.”
