Radiohead had to end their Coachella set early, and people are not happy about it
Thousands of music lovers flocked to the California desert this weekend for some fun in the sun at the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. However, things got off to a rocky start for Friday-night’s headliner, popular English band, Radiohead, who were forced to end their Coachella set early. The band graced the stage prepared to perform a 22-song set, but ran into a number of technical issues that caused them to end their set earlier than planned.
The band started off really well, making it through a few songs from their latest album, A Moon Shaped Pool, until the sound from the main speakers started cutting out during the third song, “Ful Stop” (and yes, that’s really the correct spelling). If that wasn’t awkward enough, the band’s in-ear monitors continued to work, so they kept playing completely unaware that no one could hear them.

The silence was almost deafening as the band left the stage, giving festival technicians a chance to resolve the issues. Those in attendance grew understandably frustrated — something tells us they weren’t too happy staring at a dark stage. The band quickly returned but so did the audio issues, causing them to leave the stage for a second time — and people were not happy about it.

“Can you actually hear me now?” Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke had to ask at one point.
"I’d love to tell you a joke, lighten the mood, something like that. But this is Radiohead, so f**k it," he added.
We can only imagine how stressful this must have been for everyone involved. But all’s well that ends well and luckily, it sounds like the rest of the night went pretty well.
