Rachel Bloom was Seth Meyers’ intern and has some stories to share
Our girl Rachel Bloom has obviously found incredible success on the CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but when she was just starting out, she was an intern for Saturday Night Live. The actress interned at the same time Seth Meyers was a writer, so when she stopped by his late night show last night, he wanted to know all about what the interns thought of him.
“Okay, so here’s what I have to preface this with,” she begins. “Nobody remembers when someone’s pleasant to them.”
“I hate how you’re prefacing this,” Seth replies.
But it’s okay, it wasn’t a horrible story. Rachel simply recalled a time when another intern accidentally gave Seth the wrong salad, and he reacted how any of us would if we were hangry and writing scripts until four in the morning. She goes on to do a perfect Seth Meyers impression, and that’s what convinces him that this story definitely happened.
You have to start somewhere, however, and this experience was just one of many that led her to not only star in her own TV show, but also to win a Golden Globe for the performance.
