Rachael Ray and Rachel Roy sent each other presents after the whole “Lemonade” drama
Rachael Ray and Rachel Roy have a lot in common. Aside from sharing a first name (and almost a last name), they both also know what it’s like to feel the wrath of the Beyhive. Ray, the chef, was accidentally thrust into the spotlight after Beyoncé’s Lemonade album dropped.
You might remember this lyric “He only want me when I’m not there / He better call Becky with the good hair” from the track “Sorry.” Many identified Becky as Roy. But when they went on with the attack, they mistakenly took their anger out on the sweet, bubbly celebrity chef Ray.
Ray’s involvement was just a humorous case of mistaken identity, but fans said some pretty brutal things to her. To cope with all the haters, the Rach(a)els consoled each other by exchanging gifts.
“Rachel [Roy] sent me flowers and I sent her a bottle, a big bottle of wine and a straw,” Ray told Us Weekly. “[It was] hilarious. I thought it was the coolest thing ever!”
Apparently this isn’t the first time the girls have experienced a mix-up. Ray also said once, she accidentally picked up Roy’s dry cleaning!
