R.L. Stine (aka author of “Goosebumps”) is writing a Marvel comic, and we’re so ready
We all love a good crossover event (you know, when one of our most favorite things combines with one of our other most favorite things). And hold on to your geek hats, because Goosebumps author R.L. Stine is writing for Marvel comics!
That’s right, guys. The dream you never even knew you had has become a reality. Stine hosted a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Halloween, and a fan asked if he’d ever considered writing comic books. Turns out Marvel has already recruited Stine for a series, but he isn’t allowed to share the details yet.
"I'm writing a series of comic books for Marvel-- my first comics ever. But I'm not allowed to talk about them yet," R.L. wrote.
Is anyone else’s inner child completely losing it RN?
The 73-year-old author wrote 62 books for the original Goosebumps children’s series, as well as multiple special editions released within the past two decades.

Considering Stine’s obvious love for writing scary tales and the fact that he grew up reading some chilling ones himself (Tales From The Crypt, The Vault of Horror), it’s probably safe to assume that some creepy characters are coming to Marvel.
He’s no stranger to graphic novels either. Goosebumps was adapted into a graphic novel series authored by R.L. and illustrated by several comic artists.
Goosebumps was also brought to life on the big screen last year, starring Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, and Odeya Rush. Stine revealed during the AMA that he’s looking forward to its sequel.
"I was really happy with the GB Movie. I'm so glad they're talking about doing a sequel," he wrote on Reddit.
Whatever Stine is cooking up for Marvel, it’s sure to be genius and we can’t wait!
