R. Kelly is expected to face more charges after agents seize more than 100 electronic devices

Just when we thought R. Kelly’s crime spree couldn’t get much worse, agents uncovered over 100 electronic devices believed to have incriminating media stored on them. According to Page Six, after these devices, including multiple hard drives, iPads, and cell phones, are swept for evidence, it’s believed that the singer, whose full name is Robert Kelly, will face even more charges.

On Thursday, March 5th, Kelly pleaded not guilty to an updated federal indictment, which includes child pornography charges and allegations from a new accuser who has not yet been identified and known only as “Minor 6.” However, prosecutors say that yet another victim may be at the center of the upcoming charges surrounding the electronic devices.

The devices were reportedly found in a Chicago storage unit that was rented under Kelly’s name.

Kelly’s defense attorney Steve Greenberg told reporters covering Thursday’s hearing, “We expect that they’re not going to find anything incriminating.”

Page Six reports that U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber pushed Kelly’s trial date from April 27th to October 13th, 2020 in order for prosecutors to include this new evidence in their case. Along with child pornography, Kelly faces charges of sexual exploitation of children, conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, and coercion or enticement of a female—and these are only the charges he faces in Chicago.

Kelly is also faces dozens of related charges spanning from Minnesota to New York. And despite the overwhelming evidence and victim/survivor testimony, Kelly retains that he is innocent of all charges.

In January, Kelly’s longtime girlfriend and supporter Azriel Clary finally left Kelly and returned to her family, whom she hadn’t seen in years. Joycelyn Savage, Kelly’s other longtime girlfriend, is still reportedly sticking by the accused kidnapper and rapist. Although, these new charges may finally convince her that Kelly is not the innocent man she so strongly believes he is.

It may have taken decades for Kelly to get caught, but finally he’s seemingly facing the judgement he deserves.
