A Few Quotes From Emma Stone And Andrew Garfield About Love
My ultimate favorite celebrity couple right now is Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, not only because they’re adorable, but because they’re handling their relationship the right way. As a plus, nobody’s tried to morph their names into one, because despite how great they are together, they’re also both fantastic individuals with talent that just can’t be compromised. (Plus -“Garstone”? “Emdrew?” Eh.)
While they met on set, the fact that they didn’t get together solely to bring up ticket sales for the Spider-Man franchise is extremely refreshing. In fact, they keep things pretty private, besides a few red carpet PDA moments – yet even when the subject of their significant other is brought up during interviews, you can tell by the look in their eyes that they’re absolutely smitten with each other.
Here are a few of our favorite Emma and Andrew moments that prove that true love does exist.
“I’m able to talk about her, but I want to protect something that I respect in my life,” Andrew recently said when his relationship was brought up by the media. What’s a healthy relationship without respect? You’re a wise man, Mr. Garfield.
After Emma totally rocked it on Late Night with her lip-synching abilities, Andrew made sure to let Jimmy Fallon know how proud he was when he was featured on the show a few days later. “She’s just magic,” he said.
They make sure to keep each other in line. After a young fan asked Andrew how he got his costume, Andrew mentioned how needlepoint and sewing were feminine but what Spider-Man had to do to don those threads. “It’s feminine how?” Emma challenged, as the audience watched on. After a bit of banter, Andrew rephrased his answer and gave a massive compliment to his own mother. “I would say that femininity is about more delicacy,” he said. “And precision, and detail-work and craftsmanship. Like my mother, she’s an amazing craftsman. She in fact made my first Spider-Man costume when I was 3, so I use it as a compliment. It’s a compliment of the feminine not just in women but in men as well.” What good relationship doesn’t include a little gentle ribbing?
On Good Morning America, Emma wasn’t afraid to admit her love for Andrew on television. “It’s like a dream to work with him,” she told the crew. “He’s obviously one of the greatest actors I think we have alive today, and he’s also just a remarkable human being, so I love him very much.” So sweet.
According to an interview with Teen Vogue, Andrew said that he “woke up” when he first laid eyes on Emma during their screen test together. “Then she came in, and it was like diving into white-water rapid and having no desire to hang on to the side…. Throughout shooting, it was wild and exciting. I couldn’t help but try to stay with her, keep pace with her, and not let her get away.”
Can we also discuss their chemistry? I mean, look at these two sweethearts when the cameras aren’t rolling.
Ugh, I can’t help it. My cold, dead heart is being filled up with love and other fluttery stuff. If every couple was as sweet as Emma and Andrew, the world would be a much happier place.
To all of the other celebrities out there who are trying to keep their relationships in check? Just remember to always keep the media guessing when they’re looking to dig up information to sell magazines – and most importantly, date someone who challenges you and makes you laugh.
