All the questions you’re GOING to be asked by relatives this weekend

People who think Thanksgiving is only the last Thursday in November are sorely mistaken. Oh no, my sweet, naive friends, Thanksgiving starts Wednesday night and keeps on going through Sunday evening, leaving pleeeenty of time for questions from your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, etc. It’s exhausting, right?

I’ve found that the best defense against Big Life Questions when your only tangible goal at the moment is to finish Master of None is to be prepared. Here are, in my experience, the questions you are most likely to face during the Thanksgiving marathon. Chin up, babes – this, too, shall pass.

How’s school going?

…So what does that major, uh, do?

Like what kind of job does it lead to?

I see. So what do you want to do with your life?

Will you be moving out after graduation?

So what about a [heterosexual romantic partner]? *wink wink*

Any potential [heterosexual romantic partners]? *wink wink*

But you do like [heterosexual romantic partners], right?

What do you kids do for fun these days?

Getting up to any trouble?

So how about this election?

Who will you be voting for?

Well, I’ll be voting for –

Deep breaths, you guys, Monday is just a few days away.
