The Queen looks amazing in her new royal portrait

Buckingham Palace must be in full-on party mode these days. Not only are they celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday, but yesterday marked her hubby, Prince Philip’s 95th birthday.
Okay, that’s definitely cause for celebration. Between the two of them, they’ve been on this planet for 185 years. In November, they will celebrate their 69th wedding anniversary. So it totally makes sense that the palace decided to give us a treat in the form of a new official portrait of the royal couple on Prince Philip’s birthday.
The photo is the last in the series of pictures taken earlier this year by the legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. And it’s super gorgeous. We especially love the way the Royal Family captioned the picture on its official Facebook page, with a quote from the queen that reads, “He has, quite simply, been my strength & stay all these years.”
Love is alive at any age, guys!
The queen is CRUSHING it this year, living her best life at 90 and shattering stereotypes about aging. We absolutely love it. Long live the Queen!
