This photo of the Queen with Princess Charlotte is breathtakingly adorable

When you turn 16, you get to drive a car. When you turn 90, you get your photos taken by Annie Leibovitz. At least, that’s the case for the Queen of England’s 90th birthday. The British Monarchy released a set of adorable photos on Facebook featuring members of the amazing family, including an adorable 11-month-old Princess Charlotte. The photos were snapped just after Easter, and show the Queen with her two youngest grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren, as well as her daughter and four of her dogs, all at Windsor Castle.

The photo with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle is our favorite, especially because it features the too-cute Prince George and sister Princess Charlotte, the children of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Will and Kate. The other children in the photo, from bottom left to right, are Mia Tindall (holding the Queen’s bag), James, Viscount Severn, Lady Louise, and Savannah and Isla Phillips. We can’t think of a better birthday than one spent surrounded (literally) by family.

As many commenters have pointed out, the photo is so striking, it looks like an oil painting, and the subjects are definitely fit for fine art.

The Queen took time on her birthday to send out some birthday wishes of her own, specifically to anyone else celebrating this amazing milestone:

According to the Guardian, the Queen’s birthday plans will be “lowkey.” After going for a walk, she’ll light a chain of 1,000 beacons across the UK and beyond in celebration, before attending a birthday dinner hosted by Prince Charles.

While today is the Queen’s actual birthday, her “official” birthday (because that’s a thing) takes place in June, reports the Guardian, and will feature a service at St Paul’s Cathedral and a party in the Mall. As if being Queen wasn’t exhausting enough!
