21 insanely useful things you can buy on Amazon if you have periods from hell

We know that we should be happy to get our periods every month, since it’s a sign that our bodies are just doing their thing, but we cannot deny that some months really, really suck.  As with most things that bum us out, getting a little proactive about self care ahead of our periods can help make the whole experience mildly more bearable, which is why we’ve compiled a list of some of our fave Amazon products to buy for awful periods. Because when you feel like death, you deserve a little extra love. Or at least a killer blanket and a proper hot water bottle.

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, up to 20 percent of women experience debilitating aches and cramps during their period, which is just terrible. Especially because period stigma keeps us silent about just how terrible we feel. But even if you don’t have “debilitating” cramps or a super heavy flow, getting your period can throw you off your game. You’re allowed to be uncomfortable, complain about your cramps, and yes, cancel plans or take a sick day sometimes. Especially if you have all the right supplies to get as cozy as humanly possible while you’re menstruating. Here are some products to try out for your next doozy of a period.
