Priyanka Chopra looked as pretty as a Georgia peach on the People’s Choice red carpet
Let’s sit down on the porch and have ourselves some tea while we talk about Priyanka Chopra’s Georgia peach ensemble. The Quantico actress arrived to The People’s Choice Awards last night looking fabulous in a two piece Sally LaPointe design. The hi-low strapless top and high-waisted fringed skirt was an interesting take on the matching set trend that celebs like Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian have jumped on.
Chopra kept her hair and makeup fairly natural to compliment the flushed peach color.
The actress also let her fringe do the talking by keeping accessories to a minimal and pairing the outfit with simple silver heels
That fringe had a lot to talk about and we were listening like our lives depended on it.
Chopra took home The People’s Choice Award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress for her work on Quantico. She was up against the television power players – How to Get Away With Murder‘s Viola Davis, Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson, Grey’s Anatomy‘s Ellen Pompeo, and Scandal‘s Kerry Washington.
The gracious Chopra thanked her fellow nominees in her acceptance speech saying,
"Every single woman that was nominated with me today, all of these incredible actresses, were the reason I joined television."
She talked to The Times Of India about her peach ensemble after the interviewer told her that it was being referred to as the “flirty dress.” Chopra responded:
"I just wanted to wear something springy. I was shooting in New York and it was very cold there. But when I came to Los Angeles, I felt like wearing something fun, easy and light. I just wanted to let my hair down, so I chose this outfit. I always have fun on the red carpet, I don't take it seriously. I wear dresses depending on my mood and that's what I did."
We love that. We love the dress. We just love her.
Plus, to round out the night, Chopra took her mom and friends to In-N-Out for a post-show celebration. She told E! News, “We’ll just go eat some real food and eat some fries.” Bless up, Priyanka. You rule.
