We need to know when we’ll see Princess Diana on “The Crown” and now we know

We’ve only been granted one season of Netflix’s The Crown so far, but it was enough to keep us on the edge of our seat. The addictive series covers the life of Queen Elizabeth II, and the first season showed details of her life from 1947 to 1955. Season two of The Crown has already been given the green light and it’s set to premiere in November 2017. We’ll catch a glimpse of the Queen’s life from 1957 to 1964, when the third Prime Minister Harold Macmillan retired — and we cannot wait.
Another factor hugely adding to the pile of anticipation is the fact that Princess Diana is going to make an appearance in The Crown in the sort-of near future. Peter Morgan, the creator or and writer for The Crown, told PEOPLE that we’ll probably be introduced to the lovely Princess Di (aka “the people’s princess”) in season three, and she’ll play a big role in seasons four and five.
Princess Di is still considered one of the most famous members of the royal family to ever walk the face of the earth, so people everywhere are getting excited about the future of The Crown. She and Prince Charles met in 1977, so there’s still a lot for the series to cover before we get to that point. It’s okay. We don’t mind waiting.
Exactly who is going to portray Princess Di isn’t decided yet. Are we allowed to throw out some suggestions? Emma Watson, maybe?!
Season two is going to develop Prince Charles' character a little more, particularly as a young boy who is completing his education. We're curious to see how they'll set up his relationship with Diana, because she wasn't exactly the royal family's first choice for Charles' wife.
Whatever happens, we’re sure there will be plenty of drama and some incredible fashion. We’re here for it. And we’re Team Diana all the way.
