Princess Charlotte has mastered the ~royal wave~, as evidenced on her way to meet her new baby brother
Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their third child! Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby boy on Monday, April 23rd, 2018, and while we’re obviously excited for those first baby pics and that victorious family photo outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s hospital, the photos and videos we’re screaming about right now are these of Princess Charlotte and Prince George walking into the hospital with their dad.
The thing about royals is that they do these “royal engagements” and “appearances” where they walk by a bunch of common folk and give their best royal salute. At only two-years-old Princess Charlotte is ALREADY a royal wave expert, and wow, someone started that media training early.
The Today Show shared a video of Charlotte and George going to meet their new baby brother. Charlotte, of course, dazzled onlookers with her perfect pageant wave. Prince George, on the other hand, seemed a little camera-shy this morning.
Tbh, these images of Charlotte and George waltzing in to meet their new sibling are the only royal content we need in our lives.
Oh and wait for it…the final turn and wave before she heads into the hospital.
For comparison, here’s George on his way into the hospital in 2015 to greet baby Charlotte for the first time.
So much and nothing has changed, including those little outfits. That family loves a royal blue short set.
Perhaps Charlotte is so pleased to meet her younger brother because, for the first time, the birth of a younger male heir won’t disrupt her place in line for the throne. According to the Succession to the Crown Act of 2013, Charlotte is the first female royal to maintain her spot in line for the crown, even though there’s another male heir. So that little wave she did is definitely a wave that says: “I might be the Queen one day, byeeee.”
