Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might visit the U.S. soon, and here’s everything we know
In the two months since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 2018 wedding, we’ve loved watching from afar as the two settle into their duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It seems like Markle is getting the hang of being royalty — from the many etiquette guidelines to the countless public appearances. And now, rumor has it that the newlyweds are planning a visit to the United States.
UsMagazine.com reported on July 18th that Markle and Harry are planning to come to the U.S. in the spring of 2019, according to an unnamed source. The anonymous insider reportedly said that the royal couple will make stops across the country, from New York to Los Angeles, Markle’s hometown.
"Meghan is looking forward to introducing Harry to everything she loves about the U.S.," the source reportedly told Us.
Of course, since Kensington Palace has not confirmed this alleged visit, we can’t say for sure that it’s actually happening. But the two have already made their first international visit to Ireland, and they’re also preparing for an overseas tour in October which will kick off in Australia. So more travel definitely doesn’t seem out of the question.
And although Harry and Meghan haven’t set foot in the U.S. since their wedding, their influence expands over the pond. In April, Kensington Palace declared Harry the patron of Walk of America. The walk, according to its website, is a 1,000-mile trek across America undertaken by wounded veterans from both the U.S. and the U.K. The expedition began in June in L.A. and will conclude in New York in September.
