Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released an unseen photo from their wedding as a holiday card, and we want the collector’s edition
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating their first Christmas as a married couple and, as is customary for the royal family, they have to send out a Christmas card. Instead of the typical staged holiday photo fare, Meghan and Harry decided to gift us a previously unseen photo from their wedding day. In the photo, the duke and duchess lovingly embrace as they gaze up at a fireworks display during their May 19th, 2018 wedding reception.
The photo is gorgeous, as you might imagine. Kensington Palace shared the new image on their Instagram on December 14th along with the caption:
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share a new photograph from their Wedding Reception at Frogmore House on 19th May. The photograph, which was taken by photographer Chris Allerton, features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year."
Speaking of Christmas cards, Prince William and Kate Middleton released their super casual Christmas card as well, which shows their three children in adorable poses (that little Prince Louis face! Princess Charlotte’s smize! Prince George’s high kick!). It’s as cute as Meghan and Harry’s is glamorous.
Interestingly, Meghan and Harry are about to move out their current home at Kensington Palace (which was next door to Will and Kate) and into Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle, which is 30 miles west of London but also near where that gorgeous wedding photo was taken.
By the time Meghan gives birth in the spring, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will have had the most whirlwind year. A wedding, a baby, and a new home. Congrats to the happy couple on everything.
