Prince Harry allegedly called Meghan Markle his “ideal girl” before they even met

One need only glimpse a few photos of Prince Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle to know that they are #CoupleGoals — and it turns out that the prince thought so long before he and Markle even met.
Katie Nicholl, a royal family commentator who discussed the relationship in the upcoming documentary When Harry Met Meghan: A Royal Romance, said that Prince Harry developed something of a celebrity crush on Markle while watching Suits. On the USA series, Markle plays the smart and capable Rachel Zane. And Harry has been, according to Nicholl, a fan of the show since it first aired in 2011.
"He had a crush on Rachel Zane two years before he met Meghan and the reason I know is because I was having drinks with one of his friends," Nicholl says in the documentary. "She [Harry's friend] told me she'd been on a night out with Prince Harry. He was single at the time, so she said, 'Harry, who's your ideal girl?' And he said, 'Meghan Markle from Suits'."
For us non-famous folk, chances of a celebrity crush ever becoming a reality are slim to none. But when you’re a literal prince, there are more possibilities open to you.
Nicholl says Harry went to Markus Anderson, a consultant for Soho House and a mutual friend of Markle’s, to ask for help setting up an introduction.
"There were about seven or eight of them altogether and it was a perfect opportunity for Harry and Meghan to come together in a really informal environment and actually talk," she explained.
According to the documentary, Harry and Meghan hit it off right away. The rest is, as they say, history.
