Prince Harry’s birthday message to Meghan Markle is so simple and sweet
There’s no doubt that Meghan Markle’s birthday this year is a special one. Last year marked her first birthday as a royal after she married Prince Harry less than three months prior. And on Sunday, August 4th, she celebrated her 38th birthday—her first as a new mom to Baby Archie.
The Duchess of Sussex received plenty of well-wishes from fans and followers around the globe, but the most special birthday wish of all came from her husband, who posted a lovely birthday tribute on their shared Instagram account. He shared a gorgeous, smiley photo of Markle in a vibrant blue dress from their royal tour to Tonga last fall, including a super sweet message in the caption.
He wrote, "Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure! - Love, H," and we're melting inside just a little bit.
Prince Harry wasn’t the only one to send royal greetings on social media for her on her big day. Both her brother- and sister-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as her father-in-law, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, sent her lovely well wishes on Sunday, too.
On their official Instagram account, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a group shot, including Prince Charles, from their Christmas outing last year. In the caption, they wrote, “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!” They added a red balloon emoji for good measure, of course.
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall shared three photos in honor of Markle’s birthday: a lovely close-up solo shot, a picture of Markle cradling her baby bump and laughing with Prince Charles, and another picture of her sharing a laugh with Camilla at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebration last year.
In their caption, the couple wrote that they are wishing “a very Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex,” including a party hat emoji.
It’s clear that the newly minted 38-year-old is surrounded by a lot of love, and we hope she had a wonderful time celebrating her special day. Here’s hoping that her 38th year is her best yet. We can’t wait to see what the year ahead holds for her.
