Um, did Prince George reveal the new royal baby’s name months ago without anyone noticing?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby boy arrived on May 6th, and today, May 8th, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced their son to the world, sharing pictures of Baby Sussex as well as his name: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The baby’s name is definitely fit for royalty, but something about it seemed awfully…familiar. That’s when we realized that Prince George may have spilled the tea about his cousin’s name a long time ago.

In case you missed it, in January, The Sun reported that a local woman met the 5-year-old prince when he was out for a walk with his grandmother, Carole Middleton. As George was petting her dog, the woman asked for his name—as you do—and was surprised by the young royal’s response.

"To my astonishment he said 'I’m called Archie' with a big smile on his face," she told The Sun. "I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely."

So Prince George told a stranger that he was named Archie months ago, aka the name of Harry and Meghan’s child. Coincidence? We think not.

Of course, we can’t say for sure whether or not George really knew that his cousin would be named Archie when he spoke to that stranger. It’s possible that he’s just a really big fan of Riverdale. We’re also not sure if Harry and Meghan had even picked out their child’s name at this point. When announcing Baby Sussex’s birth on May 6th, Harry said that they were “still thinking about names.”

Then again, we wouldn’t be surprised if Prince George knows everything that goes on in the royal family.
