Prince George looks adorably dashing in the new royal portrait

If you haven’t heard, Prince George is super duper cute. His adorable ratings have just gone through the roof though, with the newest portrait from the royal family. Yesterday, Buckingham Palace released a photo in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday on Thursday. It features four generations of royalty: the monarch herself, Grandpa Charles, Papa William, and little Prince George.

It’s almost too much to handle. He’s not even three years old yet and Prince George is stealing the show. Plus, it looks like he’s actually having fun doing it. And, um, can we talk about the stack of blocks he’s perched on so he’s at the same eye level as the adults and can reach his dad’s hand? #Dying.

The photo was actually shot last year in the White Drawing Room of the Buckingham Palace by photographer Ranald Mackechnie for the Royal Mail.

Perhaps even bigger news is that this photo will be part of a special stamp collection for the Royal Mail. Yes, you read that right. Prince George is a toddler who’s about to be put on a stamp. It will be sold as part of a special presentation pack to mark both the Queen’s birthday and the Royal Mail’s 500th anniversary. So little George can check “have my face put on a stamp” off the to-do list. You know, just another day at the office.
