Prince George’s first day of school pics are too adorable
On the surface, it probably doesn’t seem like we have much in common with the British royal family. At least it feels that way when we see pics in the news of Kate Middleton running around with a crown on her head, flanked on either side by Prince William and Prince Harry (I mean, talk about #squadgoals). But today, we were reminded that we’re not actually that different after all.
Little Prince George attended his very first day of school today, and his posh mom and dad acted like any other parents would. They snapped adorable pics of George (complete with backpack, obviously) and posted them online. It gave us serious flashbacks to what it was like scrolling through Facebook back in August. We really can’t blame Will and Kate for sharing this milestone with the world though, because Prince George is royally presh. Just look at him, you guys.
We’re not the only ones who think he’s super cute. The Internet has been saying awwww pretty much all day, and social media users were quick to post throwback pics to his dad’s first day of school. (So much cuteness! We can barely stand it.)
George is attending nursery school at the Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk, which is near the Duke and Duchess’s country home in Sandringham. Last month, when the British Monarchy issued a press release announcing that George would be starting school, Westacre Montessori chimed in, saying, “We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children.”
We hope that’s true. He might be the one-day king of England and all, but for right now George is just a kid. An adorable one at that. We like to imagine that right now he’s doing something like making a macaroni necklace for his mom to wear to her next public function.
Please let this happen.
