Prince Charles revealed two possible names for Harry and Meghan’s baby, and we have questions
It’s no secret that we’re unapologetically obsessed with the royals. And it’s been a big year for us. The birth of baby Louis, two royal weddings, a royal tour of Australia…like we said: big year. And we officially now have our sights set on April 2019, when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will welcome their first child into the world/our lives.
We currently have a lot of questions about the new royal baby. Is it a boy or a girl? What will their official royal title be? Will Meghan bring the little one to the states for annual visits home? And, perhaps most pressingly: What will Meghan and Harry name the little one? Turns out Prince Charles may have spilled the tea…well, kind of. During a November 22nd speech at Australia House in London—speaking to an audience of mostly native Australians—Charles said,
"My son Harry tells me that during their recent tour of Australia he and his wife were offered thoughtful suggestions for the naming of their baby. Just between us, I suspect Kylie and Shane made the cut."
Full disclosure: Charles is most likely kidding. Singer Kylie Minogue and cricketer Shane Warne are two of Australia’s most famous celebrities, so the future king was probably just trying to get a laugh. As for what Harry and Meghan will actually name their firstborn? There are rumors that James, Alice, Arthur, and Diana are all in the mix, but at this point, it’s anyone’s guess.
We’ll just have to patiently wait until April to find out for sure.
