President Donald Trump is now going after beloved online retailer Amazon
President Trump tweets questionable things all the time, and today is no exception. Trump is going after everybody’s favorite online shop, Amazon, and the United States Postal Service. He mocked USPS for losing billions a year, and attacked the online retail giant.
The President of the United States has insulted the USPS, an independent government agency, for not making enough money and for making poor business decisions, instead of, I don’t know…doing literally anything else in his job description. But picking fights with anyone and anything that isn’t Fox News-approved is no surprise. It’s just definitely not normal.
"Why is the United States Post Office, which is losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer? Should be charging MUCH MORE!" the president tweeted.
The US Postal Service doesn’t receive tax dollars for operating services, according to the USPS website, and makes up a significant fraction of the $1.4 trillion delivery service in this country, according to Reuters. Amazon, however, doesn’t even match the other contenders in the delivery industry, which are UPS and FedEx.
Trump is bringing Amazon into the mix again because of founder Jeff Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post, a news outlet that Trump has called out for “fake news” before.

It’s good to see what the president really cares about and decides to spend his time on, especially going into the new year! 2018 isn’t looking shady at all!
